The difference between predictive analytics and prescriptive analytics.
So predictive analytics is going to be something like a forecast. Looking ahead, what are my projected move-ins and move-outs? What is my projected conversion rate, and so on?
We’re looking to the future, informed by historical data.
The prescriptive component is that we’re not telling you what the future is to look like. We’re telling you what to do to influence the future.
For example, which of my activities should I do to best promote a move-in? Or which activity should I do to best influence my inquiry-to-tour conversion over time?
You’re going to have the ability to have a reliable, almost like a coach, who uses data to help you identify the specific things to do so you have confidence in the decision-making.
