Live chat is no longer a luxury—it’s a necessity. In this Senior Living Minute, Evan Friedkin explains why having an easy and accessible way for prospects to engage with your community online is now table stakes. While chat may not generate new leads, it removes friction in the decision-making process, making it easier for visitors to request tours, pricing, and information without searching for it. With consumer attention spans shrinking, quick engagement is key to converting interest into action.
Chat on websites is absolutely table stakes. If you don’t have an easy way for consumers to engage with you, you’re missing out.
Chat does not generate new leads, but it creates a more efficient path for those already interested. Whether a prospect wants to fill out a contact form, request a tour, or ask about pricing, chat surfaces those options front and center, eliminating the need to browse through a website to find them.
Consumers today have short attention spans, often between 10 to 30 seconds. That means you have a small window to encourage them to take the next step. Once they do, they are more likely to continue engaging, which aligns with predictive analytics—if introduced correctly, prospects will be more willing to share additional information.
Chat has become standard across nearly all consumer-facing brands. If you visit a company’s website, chances are, they have some form of chat. Senior living should be no different.
