Most people, if they’re exposed to a senior living community, want the senior living community for themselves and their spouse. They just don’t know how to access it.
There’s a great study by one of the foremost psychologists and marketers in the country. The experiment was simple:
- They told one group of college students, “In two weeks, go to this building and get your flu shot.”
- They told another group the same thing, but also gave them a map showing exactly how to get to the building and which entrance to use.
What happened? The group that received the map had a 30% higher participation rate.
In senior living, we do a great job of giving families the housing roadmap, but we need to do better at giving them a financial roadmap so they can actually move forward.
