Transcript: Who Is Dementia Darling?

Hi, I’m Carrie Aalberts, I’m known as Dementia Darling on social media. I’m a dementia educator and advocate, and I honestly see myself as just like a really big cheerleader for caregivers, family and professional in the dementia community at large.

I have been in the dementia care space for over a decade, and I’m very passionate about this, and I just three weeks ago took the leap to go full time for myself. I just felt a true fire and desire that I had to take this leap and fully commit myself to what I can accomplish full time as Dementia Darling.

I’ve gotten so much accomplished doing that as a side thing and I’ve been able to help so many people that I just felt like, wow, what could I do if I could go all in? So officially I’m Dementia Darling full time and I’m offering a plethora of different ways to work with me but my ultimate goal is to uplift our dementia community and bring awareness and education to us.
