Learn how batching personalized videos—instead of making one after every tour—helps teams stay consistent without getting overwhelmed.
I’ve worked through the challenges and roadblocks that hold people back from using video effectively. Over time, I’ve developed several time-saving hacks to make the process more efficient.
One of my key strategies is blocking time on my calendar to record evergreen videos—content that remains relevant over time. A great example of this is an introduction from your executive director. This type of video can be reused over and over. Similarly, virtual tours showcasing areas within the community—without referencing a specific day or a person’s name—can also be repurposed multiple times.
On the other end of the spectrum are highly personalized videos. Ideally, we’d love to record a video after every single tour, but that’s not always feasible. Instead, I recommend blocking off time later in the week to record three, four, or five personalized videos at once. This allows you to stay on top of video communication without feeling overwhelmed.
With the right approach, video can be a game-changer for engagement—without becoming a time burden.
