In this Senior Living Minute, Robin Rinke shares how personal accountability fuels stronger leadership and better outcomes across communities.
Embracing her organization’s “Thrive in 2.5” theme, Robin challenges leaders to lead by example, committing to daily, weekly, and monthly practices that ground them in integrity and drive team success. Because when leaders walk the talk, accountability follows.
One of the things that I’m excited about is that we’ve chosen a theme called Thrive in 2.5. One of the key factors for thriving is the accountability factor. So I’m taking that into account in my life, as well as in my leadership role. How can I hold myself accountable so that I can effectively hold others accountable?
There are things that we need to do every day. There are things we need to do every week. There are things we need to do every month. We need to find that balance of integrating it down to the community level.
If we’re not holding ourselves accountable, how can we expect others to hold themselves accountable? We must take the time to dig in, understand who we are, and know ourselves. We then walk and lead with that clarity, and accountability plays a significant role in this process.
