Transcript: Change Management Is the Key to Implementing New Technology

Change management has been one of the most important areas I’ve had to navigate as a leader. When introducing new technology, you must communicate the why behind it.

There is nothing worse than being told, “We’re making this change—suck it up, buttercup.” That approach creates resistance rather than buy-in.

Keep in mind that many team members have years of experience—some sales leaders have been in their roles for over 20 years. It’s important to respect their tenure, discuss how the change impacts them, and provide opportunities to ask questions.

If I can get them to say, “I understand your why, and I’m willing to try it,” that’s all I need. Ensuring that they feel heard and gathering their honest feedback is essential for effective change management and long-term success.
