We know people are visiting many competitors, making their rounds, and trying to make the best decision. And the truth is, often, it’s pretty time-sensitive.

My goal is to stay top of mind for our customers. One way we do that is by following up at the end of the day.

‘Hey, just checking in. Wanted to say thank you so much for visiting our community today.’

But it doesn’t stop there either. I think that the next day, we love to have our executive directors reach out. We do that by phone calls. We also use a video messaging platform as well.

We often send videos to people just to help them remember the time they had with us. I think it’s also a really great opportunity to send a video of the apartment that they saw just to remind them of some of the things that were really important to them.

And then of course, I can’t forget to think about sending them away with something that’s impactful as well. And we try to have a signature item so that when they leave our community, they know, ‘Oh yeah, that was the community that did X, Y, and Z.’ And they made a really great positive impression.
