I’m mostly fired up about the generational differences between who’s looking for communities.
I think we’re really going to see Millennials kind of step in real quick here. And the way that they work with websites, look at websites, and how they gather information is really different than the other generations that have been on the websites before.
So I think the way to personalize content as much as possible is there’s actually tools that you can use for automation.
I call it unconscious personalization versus conscious personalization. An unconscious one is like being able to actually find out where people are located when they visit your website. You can then modify the locations that appear on your senior living website.
But if you do conscious, so let’s say it says, Bethany—that might freak people out a little bit. So we have to be kind of careful about not seeming too personal and that it’s an invasion of privacy.
You can do it enough that they don’t even really recognize it’s happening.
