We can’t solve a problem that we define incorrectly.

Questions like, how do we fix workforce turnover, middle-market affordability, or technology scalability? all assume that senior living must be big to be effective—and I disagree.

Senior living is a service-based, community-driven profession. Smaller, grassroots efforts prove that alternative business models work. If these models succeed, more middle-management professionals in senior living may realize they can:

  • Build their own companies
  • Serve their communities in a meaningful way
  • Achieve financial success without conforming to traditional structures

Senior living doesn’t need to be big to be successful—it needs to be intentional, innovative, and community-focused.
