It’s totally important to give ROIs and numbers to our investors, but it’s also important to give them the story and let them see what you see.
Some of us who work in the industry and on the property are able to see why the decision that we make impacts us in a negative way.
And if we’re an investor, even if we’re an investor who’s really caring and thoughtful, we just might not be able to see it.
Really honing in on storytelling and being able to bring them along on the process allows them to feel really confident when you’re making bold decisions.
One example of a story that I told was that I wanted to get rid of the disposable containers, but it wasn’t until I walked into my CEO’s office and said, we’ve got these containers and here’s how it’s impacting our residents.
